HPSC Assistant Architect 2024 Exam Pattern :
This is to inform all candidates who applied for the Assistant Architect position in the Haryana Architecture Department, as per Advertisement No. 13/2024, that the examination will adhere to the following pattern:
1. Screening Test – HPSC Assistant Architect 2024
Total Number of MCQs: 100
Total Marks: 100
Duration: 2 hours
Marking Scheme:
- All questions carry equal marks.
- Each question will have five options, with the fifth option allowing candidates to leave the question un attempted.
- One-fourth of a mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- If a candidate neither attempts a question nor darkens the fifth option/bubble, one-fourth of a mark will be deducted
for each such question. - Any candidate who leaves more than 10% of the questions unanswered (without darkening any of the five circles) will be disqualified.
Medium: The exam will be conducted in English.
Minimum Passing Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 25% marks to pass the screening test.
Shortlisting for the Next Stage: Candidates who score the minimum cut-off Of 25% and are within four times the number of advertised posts will be called for the next stage of the selection process.
Note: The marks obtained in the screening test will not be counted towards the final selection, as it is intended only for shortlisting purposes.
2. Subject Knowledge Test – HPSC Assistant Architect 2024
Duration: 3 hours
Medium: The exam will be conducted in English.
Total Marks: 150
Format: Subjective type paper
Minimum Passing Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 35% marks in the Subject Knowledge Test to be eligible for the interview/viva-voce.
Shortlisting for Interview: The number of candidates called for the interview will be twice the number of advertised posts, including bracketed candidates if any, provided they have secured the minimum cut-off marks of 35%.
Weightage: The Subject Knowledge Test will carry a weightage of 87.5% in the final selection.

Weightage: The interview will carry a weightage of 12.5% in the final selection. - Final Merit List
The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained in the Subject Knowledge Test and the interview. - Date of Screening Test
The Screening Test for HPSC Assistant Architect 2024 scheduled for 29th September 2024.
